Hi all. Is anyone out there using Maxxis Mud Wrestler tyres on their CX bike? I’m guessing that they are good off road but how are they on the tarmac? My local trails require quite a bit of road work to access them.

And as a footnote to this, I’m also thinking about the raze too.

I have both.Prefer the Raze if I have to do tarmac but there’s not much between them.They will both wear fairly quickly though.Mud wrestlers better in the gloop though.

Used to use both before I swapped to tubs this season.Mud wrestler is faster (on hard surfaces) and clear much better in gloop.Raze is grippier in loose off road conditions though.The mud wrestler won’t last long on road as the thin spikey knobs get ‘torn’ off.
TBH both are much better than the Tufo’s I’m running now (but they cost me £90 so they are staying ON).
