My two year old pair of crossmax SLR's have recently started 'creaking' all the time and it appears to be coming from the spokes. I thought it might be time for a full service but this has made no difference and the local bike shop said the spoke tension was fine. Very dissapointed that a pair of wheels that cost me over £600 now sound like a bag of spanners. Has anyone else had problems?

    Thanks

    Wash your bike a lot?

Try a drop of oil on each spoke nipple, stick the wheel next to a radiator and rotate it every so often.

It's probably the spokes moving in the rim, just need to lube them to keep it quiet.

M8's made a clicking noise like he had a stick twanging the spokes, drop of oil where the spokes cross sorted it out
