Popped up on my Facebook earlier that he’s looking to sell the colnago from road bike party 2 to raise funds for rehabilitation equipment.
Anyone tempted? I know i world be if i had any spare cash at the mo.

It’s about £10,000 to build new. Where would you start with a guess as to how much it goes for?

More? Because it’s a bit of history?

Less because it had a hard life?

Hopefully they will get a just giving page up or similar so Martyn doesn’t have to give up the bike.

RBP1 for me; I’d be tempted into serious debt for that Pina, as I suspect many more would be!

If the Colnago was the right size I would have to be dragged away kicking and screaming.

Just made my donation. Not much but every little helps. Keep on giving, I don’t imagine £40k actually goes very far when rehabilitation in a situation like this is involved.

Great to see that people can really help give him an even more positive outcome. He was an inspirational bloke before his accident and he has taken it to another level post injury.

Great to see the support he’s getting!

However I’m wondering how he has got to the point of having to sell the bike to pay for rehabilitation. Being a famous professional rider I would have thought him a bit more wealthy than that, plus surely his sponsors have some responsibility to help him out? Would have thought clinics would want him in cheap or even free as well, quite a good selling point being the clinic rehabilitating MA..

I have no idea how these things work, I just always assumed that these things were sponsor covered in contracts and the likes

I had similar thoughts – You would hope his youtube videos would be bringing some decent advertising revenue considering the view counts…
As said, amazing support and he must feel very humbled. Long may it continue!
