Thoroughly confused about this. Are all tickets to Victoria/Piccadilly etc valid got travel on Metrolink Zone 1, or just those which say ‘Central Zone’?

not all tickets, only valid from certain stations, its quite a lot and there is a list somewhere (sorry i dont know where it is).
some of my colleagues come in from Leek and they cant use the tram, other from High Peek can.

You can use train ticket on the tram if
    – destination says Central Zone; or
    – it’s a tram/train combined ticket (these are rare. you probably don’t have one.); or
    – your destination (on the ticket) says one Manchester station but your train arrives in other, you can go across to the stated destination but that’s it. Most tickets say “Manchester stations” which rules this out.

Aye, used to be the default that they said CTLZ on.

Oddly e-tickets don’t seem to be valid.

Don’t understand why there’s a difference between specific stations and Central Zone when they cost the same.
