Just got the light out after a few months of non-use, and it struck me that there is no way of knowing when these Magicshine batteries are fully charged.

Just leave them on for a few hours? – overnight?

After a quick google, it appears that the small round thing in the bottom left hand corner is an LED, but, of course, I didnt know that as it has never worked.
Anyway, it seems to charge alright, had it 2 years now and still holds a good life on the original battery.

Unplug them just before your house goes up in flames. Works for me.

2-3 hours. I wouldn’t leave it unnatended. I used to charge mine while watching evening TV, or before lunch at work if I was commuting.
