So, I currently have a 2014 15″ MBPr connected to 2x 27″ monitors at work. As it’s getting on a bit I’m weighing up options for replacement. One that’s attractive is the little 12″ MacBook as we’re well set up with remote desktop machines to do the heavy lifting these days. But, I’m a bit confused as to what docks and displays I can use.

I know I can’t use 2 monitors, but that it can push one 4K monitor (at 60 Hz?) via USB-C. Anyone got any recommendations for 4K USB-C monitors that also charge the Mac and act as a USB hub?

Well, if that’s not evidence of the forum’s much depleted user base, I don’t know what is. A Mac post with no replies, not even one telling me to get a PC 😉

    Get a PC.

You’ll need some arcane distro of Linux that no-one’s ever heard of as well.
