I’d eat a normal size lunch then get something else eaten about than an hour before the ride. Bananas, snack stuff etc.
That’s what I’d recommend. However, due to evening timings, I tend to go out after my evening meal so spend the first few miles feeling stuffed and slow. Usually start to feel great about 2hrs in and by then I’m usually nearly home again. 😕 No doubt i’ll do that again tonight….
