Hope Pro IIs produce a god-awful racket

Pro IIs are probably loudest, but the whir of Christ Kings seems to penetrate further and worry walkers more…

Deffo Pro IIs for that glorious noise…but it depends what frame you fit them to. Some reverberate louder than others IME.

Must be the Hope, you’d think it could be sorted. Reminds me of the old sit up and begs from the 50/60s or some wooden contraption from one of Vincent Prices torture chambers. Extra annoying on night rides.
SRAM Campagnolo and Shimano manage to get their top end kit almost silent.

Glad they haven’t sorted the noise in the hope hubs. Go for hope. chris king do produce a lovely sound though.

The noise from Pro IIs is obscene. Far far too loud.

Definately not my mavic hubs! They’re nearly silent!

As for loud, pro 2 evos are getting to the point where you need ear defenders.

My Saint rear hub was really noisy, then I got the bearings changed and now it’s nearly silent.
Not sure what they did with the clicky bit but it’s gone

+1 for hope pro2 but you can pack them with grease to shut them up a bit 😉

The angry bee noise of a King is far nicer that the common click of a Hope. 😉

Superstar superlegga is louder than a proII imo. Sounds a bit like an angry swarm of hornets….I think it may even be toooo loud for me.

Crank bros are nicely noisy. Enough to say “Hey, speed up” but not so much to make it seem like you’re in the scene from Total Recall where they get chased by the drilling machine.

tbh, i got some crossmax sx wheels, and before that i ran hope hubs.

You could catch someone up on a climb or descent or on the flat, and they knew that someone was behind them. I’ve got to now communicate through the power of voice with others.. :/

Hugi – with the titanium ‘lemon juicer’ pawl thingy – may not be loudest – but you can tune it with different lubes.

Agree with you DT78 – I’ve got one of these on my Airbourne, and it’s louder than the Hope II on my Cube. Sounds great!
