Having been for a month, Apologies. Combination of work, skiing injury and illness keeping me off the bike.

But chomping at the bit again now.

    Anybody riding tonight?

I’m hoping to be there. We had a disrupted night so not yet sure I have a pass.

Yeah, cable tied together with a completely different headset…
Have ridden it a few times, forgot how good disc brakes and suspension can be!

I feel like I’m in that Volvo advert, you know the one where they land back from space and see that new Volvo and wonder how long they have been away

Only been away a month, but the last time I rode Lordswood, you were on a totally rigid bike with canti brakes.

What happened? Too mant face planted river crossings.

May have to dust of the Five with 160mm Lyriks to keep up!

I have to admit I’m hoping I will crash less on this. Higher front end & more brake modulation. Forks are Suntour, and are actually surprisingly good. Most importantly they cost under 100 pounds, which is lucky as the frame cleaned me out. Will replace them when I can afford something better but they are as good ad the Recon I had on my last full sus. You need something to take the mick out of anyway…

I’ve heard good things about those, especially for the price! No mick taking here.

Just picked up 30 bottles of spitfire for the post ride drinks.

    £1 per bottle in Sainsbury
