i’ve been drawn to skinny steel road bikes for a while now,

out of the blue my dad asks:

‘d’you remember my old road bike?’

‘..er, no?’

‘do you want it?’

it turns out he was given it by a colleague who’s husband had left, my Dad never really used it – the black anodising on the original black rims is only just starting to wear through…

i’m 6’2″ – 36″ inside leg, same as my Dad.

it feels a little big/awkward, but the flat stem and funky old-school handlebars probably don’t help…

You rode a bigger frame years ago. I bought a 25″ raleigh back in ’84 but my ribble that i ride now is 58cm
