Having problems following an unwanted software update by main dealer on 2012 116cdi.
Suspect I’m being fobbed off but looking for a second opinion

Yep, fuel economy will be worse and adblue usage up.
A good remap from Pendle or equivalent will sort the fuel economy

There’s a couple of good Vito groups on Facebook

Thelittlesthobo is a Merc specialist, I think he works in a dealership. He might be along to help….

Further to my post above, this is a well known issue, I think related to emissions improvements

    Thanks for the leads
The problem I had was that the car was showing some funny problems.
It was really flat on the way home then was showing coolant temperature too high although the local mechanic says that it’s not overheating.
Mercedes Benz vans Cardiff seem to be washing their hands of it.
I only took it in for the airbag recall – it’s 10 years old.

Oh, that’s disappointing. Did same recall and software update on our 2015 one two weeks ago. Not done many miles since so will keep an eye on it. They did software without asking btw.

    Yes
Did mine without asking as well.
It could be a coincidence that the coolant sensor starts playing up on the way home but unlikely I think

I had my 2018 119 Pendle remapped, it’s been great since.
235bhp and loads of torque, Eco mode was unusable before, now it’s really smooth. Obviously performance is much better but also economy is great for a 3 tonne brick.
65 mph on the motorway always returns between 42 to 45mpg. My record is 53mpg Liverpool to Hull running on Shell V-Power with a dose of Archoil D6400.
