Planning next years events. Need a challenge and I came upon the Little Pig Duathlon over Cadair Idris. Has anyone done either this or the Full Pig. Having only ever done a road based duathlon and some road running (the cycling section doesn’t overly concern me – at the moment!) is there anything I need to brace myself for or more importantly, buy equipment to improve my experience. Any wisdom regarding running up a mountain and back down it without getting killed will be gratefully received. I’m reasonably fit when not injured, can do a 57min 25 mile tt, a 20 min 5k run and 41mins for a 10k, but all this is over seperate months, on flat roads.
