Anything spring to mind. Semi slick, more robust than the pure xc semi slick.

Not the minion ss as it’s too square making it drag worse than a razor.

If they did the razor in 29 x 2.2 that would suit well.

It’s for my xc bike for a long rocky sportive event, I’ve tried a 2.35 on my rims on that bike and it rolls over too much.

    Cheers

    Crossmark 2.

My rear tyre of choice when I do the odd xc race.

    Ardent race?

Ardent race looks decent, side lugs a bit smaller than a razor but it’ll do nicely if no one gives a better suggestion.

    Thanks

Kenda Small Block 8 or Specialized Renegade? Never used either, but looks like they would fit the bill.

Rocket ron with suitable sidewalls? The sidewalls aren’t all available on all tyres but are consistent across the range.

Maybe with procore or foam inserts if you really want protection from the rocks without slowing the rolling too much.

Maxxis Minion SS in 2.3 is another option?

WTB Riddler is fast but doesn’t cope with the odd bit of mud as well as Rock Razor

I’ve been really impressed with the new Michelins, especially the Wild Enduro & Force AM

Bear in mind if you go down the Ardent route that you will die on the first corner you get to.

I tried to go round a corner with an Ardent on the back of my bike and I died.

Take it from a dead person; don’t do it!

Maxxis tomahawk? Typical Maxxis 2.3 so smaller than a Rock Razor
