I see that my local lidl have got turbo trainers in for £50 – has anyone got one of the new models? Are they any good? I haven’t got a turbo at the minute so am just looking for a basic one as a starter.

I’d look for a lightly used secondhand one from a reputable brand, Minoura B60R is what I have and it’s pretty good.
Drop me a line if you’re near Manc actually, otherwise head to your local roadie FB group and ask.

I bought an almost identical one from Aldi last month reduced to £25 and it’s been fine for basic exercise. At £50, I think I’d spend a bit more on a s/h one as chakaping suggests.
