Bought one yesterday, it’s ok. Motor, slide, guard and housings all fine, but some of the threads on clamps a bit messy. Also, the motor housing is quite big, so when tilted 45 deg to that side, gives limited clearance, only just clears a 3/4″ board. Still, as an occasional user, I’m sure it’ll do me fine, made short work of my skirtings I’d bollocks up twice trying to hand cut them.

Battery powered? Hmm, will give it a miss, shame it’s not mains.

I imagine the batteries are for the laser guide, not the saw itself.

Maybe that black cable coming off it goes to a massive battery pack 😀

Reminds me a friend who borrowed my BIG SDS drill to put up some shelves!

edit: hmm that didn’t seem to work right, but you get the idea!

Im assuming the batteries are for the laser and the saw is mains.

For an extra 20 quid I think the evolution one from screwfix is the safer buy. I’ve got the evolution one and can’t fault it, having the ability to cut steel ect with the standard blade is a handy feature too.
