Given Alpkit still haven’t restocked I’d like an alternative to the Gourdon 20/25l.

    Any suggestions?

Call me fussy, but the 25l is more than big enough.

Does it have to be waterproof?

Have looked at the OMM sacks? 20L and 25L from memory. Not waterproof but I prefer that TBH as it means that any abrasion to the sack isn’t compromising the waterproofness of it.

Depending on how waterproof you need it to be the Camelbak Hawg is pretty good, had mine for 3 years now and all zips and bits still work

Erm….. They are in stock. I just tried to buy a chilli one. 😀

Nowt comes close to the Gourdon IMHO. It’s just a bloody brilliant bit of kit.

Does anyone else find that the straps of the Gourdon rub on either side of your neck? Or am I doing something wrong? I have the 20 and the 25 both in hiviz and can’t fault them other than the neck rub if I don’t wear something with high collars

Yep i get that. Loosening the the straps a bit cures it for me.

I also find them hopeless if have a heavy but not voluminous load it sort folds over on itself.
