Built a 456 a few years ago. Admitidly found it a bit heavy and dead with not much flex for a steel frame but the geometery was good and it was real cheap so for value it was good 🙂

😥 I love this thread so much it made me cry. I had a 14 inch 456 in that blue, oh how I miss her, I now have a new black inbred 16inch its no substitute but never mind. Have on one stopped producing the older models and the carbon 456? I don’t seem to be able to find any of them, I’m after a 16inch 456 carbon, I would swap my superlight for one if anyone was interested. Keep them coming and thanks for starting the thread op.
Gazman lets have a look at yer Superlight then – just out of interest like 😉
You’ll need to find the picture you want to post, right click on it and select “copy image URL” or just “copy”. Once you’ve done that, come back to STW and click on the “IMG” button above the text input box. It’ll ask you for a URL, so just paste yours into it.
That should work, although sometimes people have trouble posting images from their private Flickr account onto a public forum…
Actually it’s changed I think, no longer right click but select the ‘send elsewhere’ symbol then grab the HTML. The bit you want is the staticflickr bit, delete the rest.
You should really link back to the flickr page to comply with flickr T+Cs 🙂
please excuse the lack of a chain, it snapped 2 miles into it’s maiden outing!
This was donated to me by a friend after the bike fell off the back of his car on the A46
Fortunately the wheels, bars and saddle took the brunt of the impact(s) so one check over, a straightened drop out and a complete re-build (with cheap sale parts) later and its still going strong
Tough beasts these original Inbreds!
Here’s my Scandal V2.
Pic taken on a wet and miserable Dartmoor this morning.
Have been feeling cramped with a 60mm stem, so put a flipped 90mm one on for today’s outing. What a rebel.
Much better position. I think 80mm would be about right. Also will try a flat bar as the new lower bar position felt better. Riding the fork much more.
The much maligned summer season. I love it. Only frame you can stick cheapo 100mm forks on and have a nice slack HA. My cheap and cheerful 1×10 build 🙂
Just seen the pictures of the new Pompino. It looks great (especially in raw) but… Why have they gotten rid of the 5-piece seatstay arrangement? It was a sort of On-One brand identity.
Looks good, kinda tempted at that price especially as I’ve been considering a SS road/cross bike for a while! I think it looks better without the ugly on-one seatstay/wishbone bit.
