  • Leg training with resistance bands?

So further to other leg training threads I’ve posted I’ve got myself some resistance bands – the thin kind you loop around your legs rather than the thicker ones you can assist pull-ups with etc.

So leg day so far has been barbell squats, reverse lunges with a kettlebell in each hand. Normally I’d do Bulgarian split squats and some squats jumps but been doing this a month and looking to mix it up a bit.

Trying some lateral walk / squat things which seem ok – although the ‘heavy’ band took offence and rolled itself up which make it less comfortable on the legs.

Might also try some assisted pistol squats with a fake trx helmet hing I got from Aldi years ago and have never used.

What other resistance band exercises are useful for mountain biking? Guess I’m still mostly looking to build strength and endurance for rocky / fast downhills with lots of compressions – but guess this stuff may also help climbing a bit……
