My laptop is dead, need a new one but its only for internet, the odd spreadsheet, photos (storage not massive photoshop editing type stuff), playing videos and trainerroad.

Needs a dvd writer as well.

I had thought about chromebooks but trainerroad wont work with them apparently.

Any suggestions?

Also whats the current windows version reccommendation to go for, 7 or 8? (was still using XP on the old one.)
