    Camping at the NT for two nights next week with the family. The kid* has a new bike and we want to find some techie trails to ride. Néeds to be pretty near the ODG as it’ll just be an add on in the evening or something. Won’t be able to drive anywhere.

    I know shed loads of stuff fairly near, but nothing that quite fits the bill. We’re looking for techie twisty tricky gnadge. **

    Not Rosset
    Bottom of Stake Pass would be OK
    Not Stake north, rubbish.
    Esk Hause to Stockley too long.
    Not Greenup, despite @sanny ‘s attempts to sell it.
    Loughrigg terrace will get done with the family.
    Heron pike/Alcock Tarn just a bit far away.
    Likewise Yoke, Bell Froswick
    Grosedale Tarn to Glenridding would be great but too far away.
    Will probably do Grisedale with the family.
    Seem to recall Tilberthwaite getting good reviews but from walking up there it looks like too much actual death potential.
    The Band looks good, but don’t want the kid to get bawled at by the farmer

    Is the footpath to Fox Ghyll on the east side of Loughrigg any good?
    Anything on Lingmoor or Pike of Bliscoe?

    * Not really a kid, he’s 15
    ** should probably say reasonable techie twisty gnadge of a punter level. Not @justinbieber level gnadge

    Loughrigg Fell (not terrace)/Hammerscar probably has everything you need. Dotted lines everywhere, have a look at Strava heatmaps. The descent towards Clappersgate (Nanny Brow) is pretty well used.
