It’s the never give up, never walk away, I’ll show them attitude that was a major factor in his being a (hugely flawed) champion. Fair play to him for that. Regardless of the drugs, he has always put the miles and effort in, and wanted/needed to win as much or more than others. Just that the drugs were the difference between him (with lots of others) and any clean athlete who also put the miles in.
He’s back on Twitter now as well, he kept really quiet for a while but is now tweeting occasional stuff.
Usually gets about half a dozen replies to each tweet ranging from
“die you **** **** cheating ****!”
“Lance, PLEASE follow me, you’re awesome, I believe in you!”
