Off to Stanage tonight for a loop and will be passing Lady Cannings.
Firstly is it open and secondly how do we access it.
We normally ride over from Stanage and then go the top side of the plantation, then down Blacka moor and back up the old Roman road at the bottom of the plantation in a figure 8 loop then through Ringinglow.
So what’s the best way in?

Yep it’s currently open. It’s accessed from the top of the plantation and chucks you out at houndkirk so will fit into your normal loop just perfect.

    It’s open 24/7

If you’re coming across the top of the Plantation from Ringinglow Road heading towards Houndkirk Road, then go through the first bridle gate on your left, and the trail starts about 15m away across the new fireroad (follow the bleeding obvious tyre tracks/skidmarks). It comes out at the carpark near the Norfolk Arms in Ringinglow.

Cheers guys, just asking if it’s open as I remember seeing some threads saying it was closed for maintenance so not to use it. It was a while ago though.

Sounds perfect, will fit right in with the ride then.

Cheers JP, looks like we’ll drop straight on it.

Managed to get a run in last night on our loop.
It’s great fun (except the uphill bit at the end – wasn’t expecting that!) and quite a bit longer than I was expecting.
I think this will be made as an official part of this route in future.

Glad you enjoyed yourself, give us a tenner, and we’ll build another one.

    Ride Sheffield, Radmires, etc.
