I’ve lost one of my keys to my Kryptonite new york ls. I thought no problem , I’m registered with their keysafe. However when i went to claim the website tells me keysafe is only available to the US and Canada. This seems a bit of false adverising on Kryptonites part as keysafe is totally irrelevant to anyone outside of the USA and Canada. I therefore emailed them about where to get a replacement key. Over a month later i’ve got no reply. Anyone know where I can get a replacement key cut? Otherwise it looks like a new Abus is on the cards as I obviously won’t be buying Kryptonite again.

I actually had a very different experience to this. Back last year when there was not so much to do in life I contacted them about spare keys for an ancient basic lock. I entered the key number into a webpage and didn’t think much about it afterwards. Several months later I got an email apologising it had taken so long and then a little while after keys arrived (I think from US).

I did the same thing for a lock my wife owns, nothing for ages then a message saying keys would be sent. They have not arrived yet but I am hopeful after the first experience.

I would buy Kryptonite again but will hope not to as that is likely to mean a bike has been stolen.

I had an old lock and had no spares, filled the online form out, many many months later I got spares. I’m in the UK.

    Hope that helps.

Pre brexit/covid etc I had no issues getting a replacement from them directly. Well, I say no problem, they sent the wrong key the first time so I had to email them again but they sorted the issue fairly quickly.

A proper locksmith cut new ones for me. It’s a locks and security specialist and it was done easily enough.

As said above, I filled in the online form and added a photo of the one key I had left and heard nothing for a couple of months, then a reply email followed by two new keys in the post free of charge.
