What a terrible piece of design. Seems the public agrees. I wonder if they’ll bin it now, or push on regardless.

Whats wrong with the design? Seems like a clever way of keeping the hot bit of the brake away from the bit you want to keep cool.

Agreed, looks interesting. that’s a proper failure though. Shame.

Aesthetically its awful but i presume the finished article would look better?

When disc brakes came out, one of the best things about them was how resistant to muddy conditions they were…

With the amount of money raised so far…. We’ll never know.

Perhaps, something similar would be a good idea for road disks brakes rather than MTB.

Reminds me of those hydraulic V-brakes that came out a few years back.

Pads would need a parallelogram a-la XT vees or they would get worn unevenly.

What worries me is the pivot, what happens when it starts to wear?

Which one? there’s 5 of them, all exposed to the elements. I think the two holding pads worry me the most but its a close call

I don’t know anything about engineering, but that guitar is really annoying. For that reason, i’m out.

    Exactly what I thought.
Opposed piston hydraulic brakes are used the world over on every type of vehicle, this just looks overly complicated to me.

I must say I like the idea. Always refreshing to see new ideas from a novel perspective.

I can see this working really well for mechanical disk brakes.
