now i understand why people don’t like going up the pentlands when its wet!! flippin’ ‘eck it was muddy!!
Wasn’t too bad to begin with and i was kind of avoiding the puddles as only had a t-shirt and shorts on, cycled form edinburgh city centre to the ski centre at hill end, up over caerketton hill and along the ridge to allermuir hill then onto cape law hill, it started to rain, considered going home (glad i didn’t)… Started the descent down form here to Glencorse reservoir which began as a very wet grassy moorland track, considered being a pussy and going slow all the way but whats the point in that, it was a case of pussyfoot down and try avoid getting wet or just frickin go for it and get absolutely soaked! went for it and just splashed through every ditch, puddle and bit of mud i could see, half in control of the bike sliding all over the shop, passed a few bewildered walkers and absolutely loved it!!! brake pads are **** but meh was worth it!
