I’m joining a commercial gym for the first time in about 5 years.

They’ve offered me a small discount to sign up now, but the question is if I wait until after Jan 1st will there be a better deal on offer?

Or because they want to take advantage of the new year rush will the prices go up for a short period of time?

What has the STW hive mind experienced in the past?

Beware if its fitness first they’re going bust.

Everyone joins in January so best deals should be before the end of this month.

No it’s Virgin Active. Wouldn’t touch Fitness First with a barge pole. Poor facilities and terrible service!

The only deals I’ve ever managed to get are at the university gym in time with the semesters. Every other gym’s been exactly the same all year round.
