It’s not snowing where I am.
But it is 35c, windy and we have some serious bush fires going on. 1000’s of hectares burnt across western australia, homes lost, livestock lost and sadly 4 lives. It’s not even summer yet. Once we get to December and the kids are off school for their summer hols then the combination of tinder dry land and firebugs mean we’re gonna be in for a bad summer. Again. The skies are grey and smokey, the wind is up, and we’re due another 30c+ day. I think a few of these started with lightning but you’d be amazed how quickly these catch and take off. Really quite scary. Especially when it’s one side of the freeway and the embers blow over and it starts fires both sides of you!
Enjoy your snow, if you have it.
