Funnily enough there is a real artisanal firewood supplier in London  – supplies wood to chefs who use wood fired ovens

I joined a few FB groups for Kamado Joe, Green Egg etc. The pretentiousness was mind boggling – and that was the UK groups!

That’s the thing. It’s not well executed at all the supposedly artisan logs he has are anything but. You can see by the ease with which he hefts them about that it’s not quality firewood at all. It’s just wayyyyy too light.
I’m going out on a limb here but it may even be some form of pine/fir.
