Thunderstorm has been rolling in slowly here for the last half hour or so, the sky gradually getting blacker and the gap between flash! and bang! getting closer, now the heavens have opened and my road has turned into a river in 30 seconds flat!
Much as I love dramatic weather I’m really glad I’m indoors right now!

Is this a demonstration of what Mayhem will be like?!

I love thunder storms. I stand out on the roof. We never seem to get them in the South. I would love one now, it’s the best kind of weather.

Had hail in North East Wales that was so heavy it looked like it had snowed by Mold/Nercwys!

    where??????

New Mills, NW edge of the Peak District. Was hailing a moment ago as the storm went right overhead, it’s kind of eased off a bit now. Just a continuous grumble of thunder with an occasional louder bang. Great stuff! 🙂

Hope Valley – Peak District – thunderstorms still rumbling around but had hail like marrofat peas for 20 mins at 5.30. Looking at the sky we are in for another dosing.

ernie – I hope you don’t live near the top of a block of flats.

Actually, thinking of my feelings for cats, perhaps I wish you did.

The last bolt of lightening and clap of thunder really made me jump out of my skin.
Glad I didn’t ride over to Poynton now to meet up with the girls for an evening jaunt over Lyme park.

    See you Wed. James.

Just started here in Herts, really hammering down. Glad I skived off for couple of hours earlier and got a nice ride in – got my feet wet in a ford though.

As a matter of interest does anyone know if airtrafffic control send aircraft on a different flight path when there is a storm ( on landing)?
It’s just that during the storm this afternoon and the one now, all the planes are going over our house, which is at least 3 miles off course, into Manchester airport.

Ain’t rain BRILLIANT! I haven’t seen rain that heavy since living in Texas. At least it was warm rain there though… I went out for a shower.

    Zaskar rider –

    You found me then!
Thanks for the ride and looking after me following my crash. I ended up having to go to york hospital as I’ve broken my collar bone 🙁 now off work and it hurts like hell.

Hopefully I will be able to ride in a few months so would be good to meet up again. My email is stephen.duckworth@ogc.gsi.gov.uk

It’s started again. A storm is working it’s way over our house.
The trails today were already in a bad way after this weeks deluge.

Xherbivorex – was thinking the same as you, don’t have to water the veggies or planters.
