    So I can access workplacelive, and my emails, on a browser hosted system. It is slow and has older versions of office, outlook etc
    .
    I can access my emails on my phone (android).
    .
    I would rather use shiny new office, and be able to search emails more easily on my laptop, not hosted via browser…
    .
    But using the same settings for my laptop-based copy of outlook does not work – I keep getting a message about not being online and able to connect to the server…?
    .
    Is there also a way I can have files on my laptop that will sync with workplacelive hosted system when I connect/login…?

    Speak to your IT guys – it’ll be setup like it is for a reason. Not one you necessarily agree with, but a reason none the less. Ask them to help rather than piss them off by going feral.

    Edit: Sorry, that sounds more preachy than I intended 😳 . Having been on both ends of this over the years, i’m just trying to save you the hassle it can cause.
