It was showing only 2gB with the 2 previous 2gB DIMMs in (I’d assumed all was working and they were 1gB, which is why I’d bought 3 x 2gB) but yes, I will do that to check.

Does the MB support more than 2Gb of RAM?

It came with 4gB, so I frikkin hope so!

I just tried only one DIMM in one slot, which worked, then the other DIMM only in the other slot,
try them both in the same slot. (Not at the same time…!)

A friend of mine swapped DIMMs in a running server once. It stopped, because the magic smoke got out. 😆

aaah the magic smoke. Doesnt agree with hot swapping. 😆

GiB, arguably. We’re supposed to be using gibibytes now (as it’s a power of two rather than a power of ten). First against the wall when the revolution comes IMHO.
