    It does annoy me that bikes that this do not come with proper guard mounts. I want a lightish road bike that can take full length guards for winter, and decent clearance for bigger volume tyres. seems this is the adventure road market, but they all seem to weigh in pretty heavy.

    I agree Wors, I’ve got a carbon Ribble Sportive 365 with mounts but there wasn’t much else to choose from.

    Kinesis was the main rival for me.

    Well, guards may have to be an afterthought.
