  • Is the beach from Barmouth to Harlech rideable??

    Anyone know how rideable this is at low tide on a fatty. Any obstructions I should know about?? Cheers

    Around shell island could be tricky.Have a look on google maps.

    done it in a kite buggy a couple of times shell island to barmouth and back should be ok for bike, does get pretty rocky round shell island though.

    Def not. Two estuaries to get across and no beach just before hitting the Harlech beach due to cliffs.

    There used to bve a sewage outfall just above Barmouth beach, heading away from the chavavan sites, remember falling into a large pool of it when a kid,not nice and ill next day.

    oh and salty water and sand destroy your bike.

    It is easy to go Barmouth to just past shell island about 8 miles if I recall correctly. Need v low tide though. I head there regular on my fatty. When you going?
