    Hello,

We’re off to North Wales next week and staying close to Harlech. I’ve had my eye on this route for a while (not done it before) and it’s very close by. However I’m just wondering how it’s likely to be holding up after all the rain we’ve had?

Thankfully it looks to be dry next week, but anywhere that stays wet is going to be sodden after all this rain. I don’t fancy a frustrating boggy trudge and don’t want to damage the terrain either (I could just do Snowdon or a trail centre instead)

A few puddles are no problem though!

Like all rides it’s better when drier but the only bit that suffers in wet conditions is the short, heavily rutted descent to pont scethin itself. The epic bog after this has been stone pitched thankfully into a challenging climb. When the pitching stops it’s tough climbing in the wet to the first hairpin, then it’s hiking regardless. Everything else rides well in the wet, a brilliant route on a clear day.
