I have just found out that the runner/throw thing that goes across the bottom of the bed actually has a purpose. Apparently it is to stop you marking the bed linen with your shoes if you lay on top of the covers with your shoes on.

I need a blanket over the bottom of the bed to catch all the cat hairs from my 2 BSH cats. Without it the duvet cover just looks filthy really quickly, but it is just cat hair.

Does your wife ever ask you how many bikes you have?

I have cushions in my front room, which are probably just there to look nice (they’re from my childhood home and have sentimental value), but cushions on beds which get in the way of sleeping……?
