So he’s a billionaire kung fu master who can punch through steel door with glowing fist when he needs too so why do I keep wanting to shout “grow a ******* pair you lily livered girls blouse” at the telly! 😕

    He’s such a drip!

The Defenders will be interesting.Matt Murdoch will think he’s a moron,Jessica Jones will be so sarky he’ll cry and Luke Cage will bitch slap his ass.

They always write the good guys as dumb for some reason. Stupid but well intentioned must gain support from perhaps a US-audience. Let’s walk straight into hat trap, act emotionally, let the villains run rings around us as we all know lady luck will save the day at the final hour.

Yeah, missing something in there though not quite as bad as one review basically calling it a critical assessment of the Trumps and how it was all done as a view on rich white Americans.
The premises is decent in an arrives from isolation no clue as to technology or what’s changed in 15 years but it just seems poorly executed.

Well i watched it all and to be honest i’m a bit fed up with things not being tied up up at the end, Mr Robot did the same on series 2.
Luke cage was a good series but i cant get past feeling like marvel jumped the shark with age of ultron.

The punisher in daredevil though was brutally awsome..

Legion is great. A bit different from the usual superhero stuff.

I’ve given up on it after six episodes too.

I might read an episode summary online and watch the final episode, so the Defenders makes sense.

I stopped around episode 8 when it descended into torture porn. Far and away the worst thing I’ve watched this year.

Apart from the fact the production was crap, I couldn’t get past the fact that even though he had amazing superpowers he was actually pretty rubbish at fighting and had to be saved by a nurse with limited martial arts experience.

Aye pretty poor so far, I’m on episode 12 at the moment. Defenders next then Punisher. Really hoping Punisher gets it right.

Finished it last night. I enjoyed it, despite Danny Rand being a pretty unsympathetic character and the fight scenes being pretty (very!) sub-par. Looked a bit budget too, at least compared to Daredevil. Looking forward to the Defenders.

Watch the last two, it covers everything going forward.

    This, it’s just finished.

I think they get a bit obsessed with fitting everything into the overall story arc. Instead of just letting the arc develop mainly in the background and bringing it to the forefront in a few episodes, there isn’t enough depth to the arc to do what they do and should mix it up more.

A lot of series seem to be falling into the same trap at the moment, the idea of there being a big story arc seems to be extremely fashionable, but very few can pull it off.

I did plough through it all. Not the best series, but there were a couple of good supporting characters to keep it interesting enough. Plus I’m a bit of a completest when it comes to ongoing series so don’t like missing episodes
Colleen Wing was a good character and at least she could act, Rosario Dawson was great again and Madame Gao was creepy and evil.
Thinking it through, despite the whole whitewashing argument about not casting an Asian actor in the lead, there’s some pretty good female characters in there who don’t have to be rescued by Danny all the time. Probably not going to pass the bechdal test but pretty good for an american series.

<spoilerish>Danny buggered off from k’un l’un before he finished his training, so whilst he was worthy of being Iron Fist he’s no where near the double glowing fisted dude from the 1940’s in the video</spoilerish>

It was a bit too much like Arrow for my liking. The Dawson’s Creek of Marvel TV. Really poor compared to DareDevil IMO.

I’m just getting into this and I’m not sure what to make of it. It all feels a bit too similar to Batman Begins at the minute but I’ll probably keep watching. It’s still better than most terrestrial tv.

I enjoyed it, despite Danny Rand being a pretty unsympathetic character and the fight scenes being pretty (very!) sub-par. Looked a bit budget too, at least compared to Daredevil. Looking forward to the Defenders.

I think Daredevil benefited from the fact they could pretty much cover the actor’s entire body so from a choreography, shooting and editing point of view they had quite a lot of freedom. They also seemed to be looking to have some degree of realism to Matt Murdock’s fighting style, combined with a fantastic stunt performer and choreographer.

With this they can’t really get away with anything – in close up it has to be the actor and in wide shots it’s obviously an acrobat. It certainly grates with me and looks laughable when you see the actor, it wouldn’t hurt if he at least hit the gym for a bit.

They obviously pulled out all the stops with S1 of Daredevil. With this, they know they’ve got your interest. To some degree or other.

I’m enjoying it reasonably. The main character is indeed a bit feeble but you have to remember he’s a kid who essentially grew up in a monastery. I thought they captured the immaturity and innocence pretty well. I’d have been more sceptical if he’d been streetwise.

Some of the fight scenes are fun and shot well. His fighting is not great but his double is noticeably much better. The girl though, I love watching her fight and I also enjoy how she appears to absolutely love kicking the shit out of bad guys and can hardly contain her glee.

Its ok i guess but does feel lil lame. Has anyone tried into The badlands?, im on season 2 and better than seasons 1. Much better show i think. the Fight scenes are not bad at all for a tv series.

I watched Iron Fist, not as good as DD, JJ or Luke Cage. Seemed to reach a peak mid-way through and went downhill thereafter.

I did get a level of childish amusement by shouting “he’s going to fist somebody” whenever his hand glowed though… 🙄

Is Luke Cage any good? Didn’t really fancy it, so haven’t watched it yet.

Though daredivel, first series, was great(still to watch the second.), as was jennifer jones.

Yep, really enjoyed LC – some excellent use of music too which really upped the intensity of the action.

I’m enjoying the Iron fist. Liking the multiple bad guys and story lines. Finding it more detailed than Luke Cage in the back story. Interested to see where the story lines from all the marvel characters meet up also.
