My old 3g iPhone has a glitch were the bottom 1cm of the screen doesn’t respond to touch and the screen has some broken horizontal lines in the same place. Rest of phone works fine.

Has anyone any idea of how much Apple charge for this sort of repair compared to eBay traders and market stall phone unlocker places?

I’d don’t want to spend a fortune as it will be given to my daughter to use as iPod touch (I now have an iphone 4).

Or can you recommend anywhere I could send it to?

    Cheers

Apple stores do seem to be the cheapest overall. They were a lot cheaper for replacing the glass on my iPhone 4

I used a company called iPhone repair Sheffield when I cracked my iPhone 4s screen. Sent it off and 48 hours later it came back in perfect condition.

Not worth it for a 3G in my opinion.

You’d be better off using it as trade in for an upgrade to a 4 or 4s (or a droid).
