So what are your favourite, most useful apps for the touch/iPhone? Any that are making good use of the OS3 update?

    My personal favourites are:
Motion X – Really good for keeping track of rides, walks etc.
Trailguru – A free version of the above, but not quite as good imo.
FlightControl – the most addictive game, and now with 3 different airfields and P2P game option.
LastFM – Free app and free music
TVGuide – Free TV guide for all channels.

Stanza. L0ts of good books available from Gutenberg and other free places, as well as Amazon and the like.

The Facebook app is pretty good for a freebie and, if you need to facebook all the time, pretty handy.

I also have Ballistic FTE, which is very handy when I am out and about with the rifles, but it is rather pricey. It will, however, be more useful when/if I start using something bigger than the calibres I have now.

Oh yes… Last one. Flickit. A flickr uploader. Very useful, very easy to use.

I have a recipe/ingredients finder, Facebook, Ebay, Sky Remote (still can’t make it work mind you) and a couple of games (the Terminator game is VERY good but I only have the free sample).

But only had the phone for a few days…

Surprisingly (and sadly) I find the push e-mail from Exchange is the most useful thing on my iPhone. Sad that answering work e-mail from bed or the throne is more fulfilling from an application point of view than something shiny.

One other one that’s handy: Tube Delux. Yes, you can do it all by looking at the maps on the walls, but this is bother cooler and gives you line closures, departure times and route planning.

Only had the phone for since release, a week/2 weeks ago. Looking for more useful apps. Downloading FlickIt tonight. 😉

kimbers, either you are an “average iphone user” and clicked on this thread as you were interested in finding out about which apps you could get for it, or you aren’t.

if the former is true, and with your opinion of iphone owners in mind, i can only guess you clicked on the thread to try and hook up with some like minded individuals?

A bit off topic, but did anyone got internet tethering to work without monthly subscription? There are some sites with info how to do it, but not tried.

Without doubt the best/most addictive game on my ipod touch is Drop7. It’s the new Tetris (or something).

Ocarina is great. Just downloaded it and I’ve learnt to play God save the queen (the national anthem, not the pistols classic). Not sure why I chose that, going to try you’ll never walk alone next.
