They won’t connect to each other .

Bluetooth is on and they are dicoverable. Restarted and no joy.

They both pick up cars at the traffic lights but not each other right next to each other.

    Ideas please.

Why are you trying to connect them with Bluetooth?

    Use airdrop

I’d be amazed if you could do what you’re trying to do.  They’re both Bluetooth ‘master’ devices rather than slaves.  Plus, y’know, Apple.

Sorry, if one doesn’t support AirDrop, you are out of luck. (Strictly speaking, AirDrop IS BlueTooth)

Can’t you just log them both into the same iCloud account and transfer files like little raindrops from above?

We could but one is for work and we want to keep them separate.

Op, you do realise that Apple have a whole guide to using their products.

No need to go over to Google, just share the drive between the two Apple ID’s.

Didn’t you ask this question earlier ?

And Airdrop wasn’t the answer then because of the old iPad.

Bluetooth to Bluetooth devices don’t recognise each other, one is designated sender and the other receiver.. you’ve got two senders my friend.

Best option is to read the Apple support forums because, sadly, this is a common occurrence and there are plenty of folks who would like to do the same thing you are trying to achieve..

How about using Wi-fi instead of BT?

Luckily the contacts I want to share are on my mac and that connects with the new iPad.

I wanted to move photo albums across. Couldn’t make family share work.

All the pictures are on google photos so they are easy enough to download ,j ust means that I will have to create the albums again.

Just sell them and buy android devices that just work, then you can blow the profits on coke and hookers. Win win!
