    Hello,

is it worth getting a seperate insurance policy for your bike, or sticking it on the house insurance?

Don't know what the cost difference is, and if it's easier to claim for a nicked bike (fingers crossed this won't happen, but it is the point of insurance)on a bike specific policy?

    Any experience/advice?

specific bike policies are expensive – IIRC about 10% of the value a year.

Mine are with M&S insurance with my contents insurance – all risks worldwide plus contents single item £4000 for £250 a year

Cover with E&L insurance costs me ~£260 pa for £4500 worth of bike (2x£1000, 1x£2500). This was cheapest standalone quote I could find. Most were £400+, one or two closer to £1000. I didn't go with M&S simply because my contents wasn't up for renewal; I may do so when it is (E&L is on a lunar monthly policy)
