DezB that’s excellent, I’m in the process of drawing our recently departed moggy as a Christmas present for the wife, if I’m happy with I’ll post it here.
Okay, I’ve missed the Christmas deadline by a fair distance but I have mitigating circumstances, my head has been all over the shop and holding a pencil still was a challenge. Anyway, I’ve nearly finished my cat portrait, I’m parking it for a few days before I come back and rework some bits.
I try to leave well alone as I know I can mess things up given enough time when drawing, but I need some space to review it properly.
So without further do…
He died in October after surviving a bout of cancer getting on for five years ago. Our miracle moggy saw four extra summers, sadly last years was his last.
Hey ho, bumpity bump. Been trying out some new style stuff, loads of colour, which I never thought I’d do, on me ol’ iPad.
An image of Vero on one if the yt vids caught my eye, so dunit, and very pleased with it so thought I’d share.
I would really appreciate everyone looking at my wife’s webpage – her first ever and completely done by herself despite her being terrible with IT – for her artistic work.
@DezB what app are you using on your iPad?
I’ve just picked up an Apple Pencil to use with mine and fancy having a play around and seeing what it can do.
Are we allowed to put up our digital stuff? Heres my latest. A commission for a member of this very parish. His Z4. Vector outlines drawn up in Illustrator, trying to keep everything as simple as possible. I’ve been experimenting with the judicious use of radial and linear gradients and I’m pretty pleased with the results. There are only 3 colours involved in that bodywork and greyscales for the wheels

Next I’m going old school and getting the drawing pens out to draw up a first outline for some graffiti, then I’m going to scan it, outline it, then colour it up in Illustrator. Not done any graf for years, so I’m looking forward to getting stuck into this
