    Yep, my parents give myself and my brothers a £3k every year

    Bear in mind the gift allowance is £3k total rather than per recipient (it’s not clear from your wording if you mean that £3k is split between you…), possibly some of it could come under the ‘normal expenditure out of income’ exception (but I think that would need to be done as monthly payments rather than annual ones)

    A defined benefit or annuity ceases to be paid on death (dependent benefit aside) but a pension pot that still exists can be passed on free of all tax which is a massive loophole for the super rich who haven’t even paid (income) tax on the initial contributions nor any capital gain on the investments.

    this was something Sunak/Hunt introduced (unlimited tax benefits) “to save the NHS” and the suckers fell for it.
