I seem to have a shortlist of three helmets for the wee lad:
– Met Elfo
– Giro Me2
– Abus Chilly

They all appear to be good enough and the decision is set to be based on whim/aesthetics, but does anyone have any useful titbits of experience to lob in before I plump for one? Ta 🙂

Get a Giro Rascal or Spree (depending on req'd size).

The best fit system out there which can't be set-up wrong (or fiddled with by Jnr).

Also got Blackburn produced LED's on the rear – much neater than any other brand's effort.

Can get the Rascal with Sharks on it – cool!

Both £25, or Bell do equivalents which are not in-molded for £5 less.

My wee lass had a Me2 and always had to be helped to put it on. Now got a Rascal and she can pop it on herself, and she loves the lights (and Ladybird graphics….)
