- Inexpensive place to stay in Bath
Stayed here when I was in bath for a mate’s wedding a couple of years back:
Francis Hotel, Queens Square
Very central, and reasonably presented (more impressive outside than in). Can’t remember how much we paid, but I doubt I’d have spent over your budget, because I’m a cheapskate.

If you don’t mind being a little further out of Bath, but still in the Cotswolds, close to Castle Combe, in fact, then you could try here: http://www.fossefarmhouse.com/Fosse_Farmhouse/Fosse_Farmhouse_b%26b,_guesthouse,_hotel,_accommodation,_self_catering,_castle_combe.html
The proprietor is a long-time friend, and the house is lovely, as is the self-catering, she even has a couple of shepherd huts out the back, which seem to be very popular!
This is the back, with one of the huts, and the self-catering:
and this is the front:
And before anybody says anything, I have no connection with the hotel, other than that I’ve known the owner for over twenty years, she’s just a friend I scrounge mugs of tea off of when I’m out on the bike!Posted 6 years ago
