Saw some of this for sale in the local wine shop, is it any good?

Tried it at the Manchester Whisky festival. It’s not bad, but there’s a lot better out there.

Then again, it’s down to personal taste I suppose.

Not cheap, similar price to a single malt scotch like (10 year) Talisker. (Though this is Spain, not sure what the price difference would be in the UK).

What would you compare it to?

Having tried Indian Port I would steer well away.
I think on balance I would have been better off drinking drain cleaner

Tomahawks, maybe, but firewater? How big do I need to make the bloody picture?

And closer inspection inspires doubt: Himalayan waters, but distillery in Bangalore?

To be honest, there is quite a large area that can claim to recieve water from the Himalayan region…

If we’re talking New World whiskies – Japan or Wales! 🙂

To be honest, I was quite pissed. I vaguely remember that it was better than the English but not a patch on anything from Scotland.

Agreed, Yamazaki is excellent. Save your money and buy a bottle of that instead.

It’s awful, truly truly awful. I don’t pretend to be a whisky connoisseur but I can recognise that this muck tastes only marginally better than paraffin. Don’t waste your money.

It really isn’t that bad ^^

It’s quite smooth and sweet. I drunk it on ice when I had a bottle.

It’s a bit like a bottom of the range macallan, but a bit sweeter.

“Drunk it on ice” that explains why you couldn’t taste how truly awful it is.
