  • In Dublin this week. Any waymarked trails within easy driving distance?

    As per title. I’m in Dublin for a couple of days this week. I’m taking the car, so may be able to take my bike.

    Are there any trail centre type places within an easy (say 30 minute) drive of the West/South side of the ring road?

    Ballinastoe is just south of the city, near Roundwood in Wicklow. Good for a couple of hours of blue/red grade trails. Djouce woods are just north of it.

    Ticknock is right on the southwest edge of the city. Good wee trail but only 6k long.

    theres about 100k of trails between ballinastoe and djouce but only 14k signposted in ballinastoe and thats not even the best of it – you need a native guide !!
