    Sun (yellow dwarf star) is undergoing a fusion reaction where Hydrogen is converted to Helium.

    And it is because of all this helium that the sun floats up in the sky the way it does.

    Bowling balls probably have more weight in USA as they are closer to the equator. so, as this is a UK based forum, I’ll agree (on principle) my theory, though not wrong, can be manipulated. So, I’m ooot.

    Actually, no. Given the equatorial bulge and centripetal acceleration, the effective resultant gravitational force is lower at the equator than at the poles. Hence Americans are lightweights.
