Ice bike racing!!

Well, I’m hooked…

I spent Friday night fabricating myself a set of studs with the aid of beer:

and then raced around a frozen lake for 45 minutes on Saturday morning. Its still snowing pretty good here, so I’m thinking I’ll leave the tyres on and head out for a spin after work!

It is really pretty here at the moment:

Shame Guildford Cathedral is hidden behind that hill, it would look impressive in the snow.

Well I’ve heard from everyone back home that its snowy in England too!

Doubt I would be willing to ride on a lake in the UK though!

Oh, you forgot to mention that you won the ice race so well done 🙂

Winning was just the icing on the cake (bumdum…..tischhhh…..)

I went out to have fun and see whether my homemade tyres would hold up to the job. Considering I didn’t get gored to death by flying screws, I think they worked!
