Anybody else got alternative tools 🙂

I use a lump of wood and a mallet to fit headsets and the same tool for cutting steerer’s. Although steel steerer’s I use an old stem as a guide and a hacksaw.

Nice frame, 29er?

Nope 26er, it’s a ‘bitsa’ bike, built up from stuff lying around:
Wheels
Bars
Levers
Shifters & Mechs
Crankset

& New stuff:
Frame
Forks
Tyres
Brakes
Headset

The other day I used a pin hammer and a bit of cardboard to fit a headset. Worked really well and took a whole 5 minutes. Cups went in straight too unlike yours.

Was looking dodgy at first but a bit of jigery pokery and they levelled out and ar now flush with the frame.
