    😯

I will never look at his wife the same way again. His phone pics have uploaded to the folder. He is not tech savvy in the slightest and will have no idea what is happening. Priceless. 😆

How long before I tell him.?

Send a simple message saying “Just a heads up Dropbox can be set up to sync all your photos from your phone, just to be clear ALL of them. So you might want to check your settings”

Neilsonwheels. I feel so betrayed. You were looking a little glum last time I saw you so I synced some photos on to Dropbox for you. I didn’t think you would tell the world…

The issue has now been reported and look on his face was priceless… 😀 To say he was embarrassed was understatement.

Don’t tell the wife FFS was his only request.

A friend of my in-laws had a digital camera when we got married, which was rare in 1999, so he took a load of photos on the day, which we had as a slideshow on a laptop at the evening do.

A few weeks later he posted us a CD with the photos on, which also contained a ‘thumbnails’ folder which contained some rather more personal photos of him and his missus 🙂

So no mention of not posting them on the internets?

My brother gave me an old phone of his once. Idiot left some video clips on. Mainly his then 21yo girlfriend doing naked housework.

@neilsonswheels, sorry but you need to be reported and banned for failing to share any of the said photos 😡

Not really, massive amounts of default settings (as per this thread) and then new releases changing prior behaviour.

A couple of years ago my daughter (who was about 3 at the time) got hold of my wifes camera and took a load of pictures of me, while I was still in bed – first thing on a Sunday morning – the pics mainly consisted of me wearing just a pair of pants, looking pretty shabby and telling her off for waking me up.

We had a laugh about it and thought nothing more of it until my wife took her camera to work (she’s a science teacher) and gave it to one of her 16 year old students – and asked him to plug it into the white -board and run a slideshow – as the pictures from their recent science field trip were on the memory card….

You appear you be assuming I don’t understand what syncing does.

I am fully aware of what it does.

When I first moved over here my missus and I rented a granny annex from an older couple (say around 60ish) for a few months while we sorted ourselves out.

WiFi was included and on an evening sitting at the computer, bored, I idly started exploring the network to find that there were a number of shared folders.

Now I know I shouldn’t have looked and I’m not proud of it but I had a little nosey around.

Found some more than slightly dodgy photos of the old boy (and some random women, not together though) and some half filled in swingers holiday application forms.

Laughed my ass off at the time but never said a word to anyone, didn’t tell my missus.

A year or so after meeting my now wife, she was away for the weekend with some girlfriends. A few glasses of red later I decided to balance the phone on the dressing table and take a cheeky naked shot of myself and texted it to her phone. A rapid phone call back with lots of laughing and it was totally forgotten about….. Until about 3 years later when my mums mobile died. I gave her a spare and thought nothing of it until I got a call a few weeks later when she was showing her friends some snaps she had just taken!! My full naked photo was still on there!
    How embarrassing?!?!
